My mum found out she had breast cancer on 14th dec 07 and having gone through an operation and both chemotherapy and radiotherapy was taken in to hospital on 24th Sept 08 and we were told that the cancer was back only worse and they struggled and struggled to help mum on ward 2 at the western general in edinburgh and seemed to be succeeding as mum was getting back to having a laugh etc and doctors had talked of getting mums cancer controlled enough for her to get home but unfortunately in the early hours of 04/10/2008 mum very peacefully passed away with both my dad and sister and myself by her side.WATCH THAT ROAD "

Mum gave me a piece to add to your Garden some weeks ago with the instructions it wasn’t to be added till Christmas eve but sadly Mum passed away on the 23rd and has left Jocky, Dora and myself devastated because we have lost the heart beat of our family.
Margaret please look after Mum because simply she was the best Mum we could have asked for and I don’t know how I’m going to cope now she’s gone.

3 years ago today mum,
Simply the saddest day of my life,
In that room we lost our amazing mum and beloved wife,
My heart was slowly broken as I watched you slip away,
At 11.37 my head just turned to grey,
I knew from that moment Mum, I had to live without you for a while,
But I knew I could do that with the single memory of that smile.

I miss all those moments that no-one else 'gets', all those secret smiles, the way we could make each other laugh without saying a word, having a conversation with just our eyes, gossiping about people 'we dont even know' but making a story up anyway, Most of all Mum I miss my bestest friend.
